Meet the man behind the name.

Corey brings a unique background to his role as a lifestyle protector. He started his career working on the corporate side of the insurance industry, over a period of 17 years he has worked for 2 of New Zealand’s now largest insurance companies. Some of these roles were Senior Medical Underwriter and Business Development both of which gave him a very broad understanding of the insurance products available in today’s market. It is this in depth knowledge and experience that has greatly benefited Corey’s clients and is very rarely found amongst Insurance advisers.

After 17 years in this corporate role Corey decided the time was right to make the move to becoming a lifestyle protector and founded Rix Insurance Advisers in 2010 so that he could be an insurance advocate for New Zealand families and business owners. You can read more about this on Our Approach.

When he isn’t busy saving the day insurance-wise, Corey is at the rescue on the beach. He is an avid surfer and over the years has volunteered for Surf Life Saving at Piha Beach. If he isn’t on the waves then he may be training for one of the many road cycling races or triathlons he competes in. On a slower day, you may catch Corey fishing or diving. Corey doesn’t sit still for long, which may be why he plays guitar just not very well.
